| Only one item per passenger is allowed through the airport search point with a maximum size of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (note: the re-sealable bag must be able to fit within the cabin bag). Additional items, for example hand bags, will be required to fit inside the one permitted item of carry on baggage. |

| Outsize Items |

All items of luggage which do not fit in the permitted cabin baggage size (maximum length 56 cm, width of 45 cm and depth of 25 cm) must be checked in to be placed in the aircraft hold.
An exception to this is musical instruments, these are allowed on the craft as a second item of hand baggage. It is advisable to check with your airline before travelling if any special arrangements need to be made. |

| Authorised Liquids |

| Each passengers is allowed to carry 100ml of liquids, each carried in separate containers. |
| |
All containers must be stored comfortably within one single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag - see below - that can't exceed 1 litre in capacity (approximately 20cms x 20cms).
One such bag is allowed per passenger. |

| When passing through security control the bag must be taken out of hand luggage and given over for inspection. |
| |

| Anything that doesn't fit within this bag must be carried in the passenger's main luggage. |
| |
| Liquids allowed in hand luggage, are for example: |
| |
- Drink goods like water, syrups or soups
- Cosmetics such as creams, oils, lotions and perfume
- Deodorant sprays
- Toothpastes
- Hair and shower gels
- Or other such items of similar consistency

| Liquid Baby Food |
| |
| Flying with baby foods - please be advised that baby foods and sterilised water are permitted in larger quantities above the 100ml limit but only sufficient for the journey. These liquids will be subject to a taste test at airport security. |

| Essential Liquid Medicines |
| |
| Flying with medicines - please be advised that it is permitted to take essential medicines for the duration of your trip but they will be subject to the following authentications. You must obtain written permission from the airline and the airport. You should also have documentation from a qualified medical professional such as your GP or consultant. |

| Edinburgh Security For Laptops |
| |
Edinburgh security states that all laptops or large electrical items have to be checked separately and therefore need to be removed from hand luggage for inspection at security control.
Do not that a laptop bag is deemed as the passenger's one piece of hand luggage. |

| Large Items |
| |
Except musical instruments, anything that is too big to be carried in hand luggage must be carried in the main luggage.
Musical instruments that are allowed to be carried onto the aircraft have to under go security checks.
Do check before hand that any large times, including musical instruments, don't have to be accommodated for specially by your airline, i.e. an extra seat has to be allocated. |
